LOOK AFTER YOUR MATCH FEES

After officiating in the Division Two fixture between Pitstone & Ivinghoe and Caddington on Tuesday night, Alan Moorhouse got changed, received his fee & expenses, placed them in the trousers, accepted some post match hospitality and headed for home.

On arriving back, he could not find his money anywhere. Having searched everywhere with no luck, he came to one conclusion - THEFT!!!

Wanting to warn his fellow officials he sent the following email to Mick Ewen:

From: Alan Moorhouse
Sent: 12 August 2008 21:42
To: MICHAEL EWEN
Subject: Re: Fixture & Appointment changes for Aug 9th/12th & 13th.

Mick

for the newsletter

WARNING

I had my full match fee pickpocketed after the game at Pitstone between Pitstone and Caddington

I put the whole fee in a particular trouser pocket after the game.

It was there when the scratch card came round, but not when I came to leave.

You might like to make others aware

I don't suppose there is anything I can do now.

Regards

Alan

Not too long afterwards, Alan received a phone call from the other Assistant Referee Darren Turney, who realised he had some extra money in his trousers - the same amount Alan was missing.

Alan then sent another email to Mick:

Subject: Re: Fixture & Appointment changes for Aug 9th/12th & 13th.

Mick

I suppose this story will still end up in the newsletter

Apparently I put my fee in Darren Turneys trousers and he has just rung me to say he has found it in HIS back pocket

AAAAAAAAAAAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Regards

Yours in sport

Alan

It just goes to show, always be careful with your match fees

I wonder though, if the scratch card had been won by Darren .....
