REFEREE ON THE RUN
Peter Saggars to run
London Marathon for charity
Association member Peter
Saggars will be running the London Marathon in 2009 and hopes you
can help with donations for charity. Peter (2nd from right in the
photo) explains it all below:

YOUR
ATTENTION PLEASE!!!!
The
ONE AND ONLY time this will happen………
Sunday
April 26th 2009.
After 25
years of playing football and 20 more years of refereeing football,
I have decided to fulfil an ambition to run the London Marathon!
The
running shoes are new, the training has started (it’s very cold in
shorts at 7am!) and of course I am now going to ask you for money!
PLEASE,
PLEASE will you sponsor me?
I am
running for a charity called ‘MACS’. This stands for
‘Micro and Anophthalmic Childrens Society’,
which supports families of children born without eyes and with
partially developed eyes.
I
need to raise at least £1000, and you can help by sponsoring me
online at no extra cost to you.
Please go to
www.macs.org.uk and then go to the Help
MACS section.
Go to the
donation page and follow the onscreen instructions.
In the
donation details section, tick the box
‘Donation
for MACS Marathon runner named here’
Then enter
‘Peter Saggars’
so that the
donation is reconciled with my fundraising total.
If you pay
tax
make sure you tick the Gift Aid box to get an extra 28p per £.
I realise that times are tough
at the moment, but every donation, no matter what amount, will help
a child who cannot see. Please be as generous as possible.
MANY MANY THANKS IN
ANTICIPATION!
Peter
We
hope you can support Peter in his efforts for a worthwhile cause.
